GitHub is a single point of failure for your code. Depot runs on your infrastructure -- cryptographically signed pushes, peer-to-peer distribution, human approval before any code propagates.

Signing
Every push signed with your node key
Pushes are signed with your node secp256k1 private key. Peer nodes verify the signature before accepting. Code from unknown sources is rejected automatically.
K1 Approval
Human approval before propagation
Every push queues for review. You see the diff, the files changed, the commit message. Approve it and it propagates to all peers. Reject it and nothing moves.
Gitea
Self-hosted Git at git.beard.energy
Depot runs alongside a self-hosted Gitea instance -- a full Git server with web UI, SSH access, and API compatibility. Your repos, on your server, accessible from anywhere.
Mesh
Peer-to-peer distribution
Depot nodes form a mesh. Push to your node, approved changes propagate to all trusted peers automatically. Each node signs and verifies independently.
